Veolia - The Senne river as a sustainable energy source

Media relations

This is a ground-breaking project as these heat pumps will draw their energy from the Senne/Zenne river and will enable significant energy savings while reducing CO2 emissions by 361 tonnes per year. With the introduction of this system, the use of gas for heating the building will become almost redundant.

Our approach:

To spread the exciting news, we reached out to journalists from De Standaard and Trends-Tendances to provide them with exclusive coverage of the topic, including an interview with Koen Snyders, GM of ONSS/RSZ, and Nicolas Germond, CEO of Veolia Belgium & Luxembourg. The aim was to highlight this sustainable project and emphasise the technological advances and environmental benefits of using the Senne as an energy source.

Results:

- The two exclusive interviews were published in both the online and print editions of De Standaard and Trends-Tendances.

- Following these important placements, other media reported on the topic, including Het Nieuwsblad (online and print), VRT NWS and Bruzz.
