On the final day of parliamentary work, the Vlaamse Ondernemers, a coalition of 20 sector and employer organizations, launched the "Vlaamse Snipperdagen" campaign. This initiative, developed by the advertising agency AdSomeNoise, aimed to draw attention to the excessive regulatory burden on businesses by symbolically shredding unnecessary laws and regulations. The campaign kicked off on May 8, 2024, with more than 50 parliament members from the Chamber of Representatives and the Flemish Parliament participating in the event, choosing outdated regulations to be shredded.

We were asked to campaign to create visibility in the press and supported with the following:

- Invitation to the event, by targeting key journalists of the country.

- Creation and distribution of a press release: We drafted a compelling press release detailing the campaign, its objectives, and the involvement of key parliament members. In the press release, we emphasised the impact of excessive regulation on innovation and entrepreneurship and the need for more future-proof, technology-neutral regulations.

- Media outreach: To maximise coverage, we sent to journalists covering politics, business, and general news. We leveraged our extensive network to provide journalists with opportunities for impactful audiovisual footage and interviews with key figures.

The "Vlaamse Snipperdagen" campaign was a resounding success, with a dedicated segment on "Terzake," a leading current affairs program in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. This prime-time coverage helped amplify the message, showcasing the campaign's significance and the widespread support from parliament members and the business community.
