On 10 September 2024, the Ronald McDonald House at the Brussels Health Campus in Jette celebrated its fifth anniversary, marking a milestone in its mission to provide a temporary home for the families of hospitalized children at UZ Brussel. Since its opening in 2019, the house has been a place of comfort that allows parents to stay close to their sick children without the stress of daily commutes.

The anniversary was celebrated with the presence of the house’s godparents, Kevin De Bruyne and Michèle Lacroix, who joined volunteers, healthcare workers, and other partners to cut the birthday cake, commemorating five years of support for families in need.

For this event, we were asked to support the event organisation on different levels:

- Event organization: We hosted a celebration featuring the charity’s godparents, Kevin De Bruyne and Michèle Lacroix, with speeches from key stakeholders.

- Media opportunities: The event provided interviews with families, medical professionals, and fund representatives to bring personal stories to life.

- Media coverage: We invited press to the event and distributed a press release afterwards highlighting the charity’s accomplishments and its vision for the future.

As a result of our collaboration with the Ronald McDonald Kinderfonds for this event, we ensured:

- The presence of numerous journalists at the 5th anniversary celebration.

- 60 articles published across print, online, radio, and TV channels.

Overall, this extensive coverage significantly raised public awareness of the charity’s mission and its invaluable support for families in need.
